“Friends” Star Lisa Kudrow Stars As Shrink On New Lexus Site
Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - “Friends” star Lisa Kudrow has now made friends with Lexus. The luxury car company has launched an online website called L Studio, and features Kudrow playing a nutty shrink who does therapy sessions in three minutes.
Kudrow’s mini-series on Lstudio.com is called “Web Therapy.” On the episodes Kudrow plays psychotherapist Fiona Wallice who conducts three-minutes therapy sessions via the internet. Starring alongside her in the 15 different episodes are Bob Balaban, Jane Lynch, Rashida Jones, Tim Bagley and Dan Bucatinsky.
Kudrow wrote and produced “Web Therapy” with Bucatinsky, her partner at Is or Isn’t Prods. Lexus says they won’t push their cars on much of the site, but links will lead people to them. A Lexus spokesperson said the car company is looking at themselves as a broadband HBO.
Lexus isn’t the first company to create a market-branded broadband channel. Bud.TV was a similar venture that Budweiser started after the Super Bowl in 2006. It failed after a reported $30 million investment.
Lexus says they have learned from Budweiser and aren’t planning on failing. And with the growth of the internet, they may do just fine, especially if they continue to attract top quality stars such as Kudrow who brings her kooky acting abilities to life in “Web Therapy.”
Like promised I’ve added Kabluey movie captures in the gallery. If you didn’t see this movie yet, I recommend it, its pretty good and Lisa is amazing as usual but OMG those kids LOL.
Hey folks just wanted to let you know that I’m still here lol, I didn’t forget this site. There’s not much news about Lisa lately which sucks but I will have Kabluey captures for you really soon, hopefully tomorrow if not the day after but I will definitely have them lol and I will also start capping some episodes of friends probably the rest of season 8. So anyway be back later with new updates, I just wanted to drop a note to say that I’m still around.
I was surfing the net for Lisa tonight and I found these two very beautiful shoots, I have looked in the gallery and unless I’m blind lol I don’t think we have them, so I posted them in the gallery.
As you can see I have finally managed to put up the new layout!! I really hope you all like it! It’s darker than what we had before, I think it’s a good change. Pages are down for a bit as I am having them converted to fit to WP. They’ll be back in no time!
I have also installed stramm in our gallery, now it looks more organized as thumbnails are now equal sized. A new layout for the gallery is coming soon as well. That’s all for now … enjoy!!
Sorry I was extra busy lately which is why I didn’t update the site. I have fixted the pages, so now you can look around the site again. Also I have a few updates coming up so stay tune.
The central image of “Kabluey” is a massive, pointless, impractical foam-rubber mascot suit, the logo for a failing Internet company, a logo that looks suspiciously like the old “AOL man.”
In the hands of writer-director-star Scott Prendergast, he “… but wait, he has no hands. No fingers.
As corporate mascots go, Kabluey is useless, which is one reason poor Salman (Prendergast) is dropped off on a remote stretch of Texas highway to hand out fliers trying to rent excess office space that the dying BlueNexion company has in its headquarters.
How Salman came to be there; how he came by his strange first name; how his depressed, angry sister-in-law (Lisa Kudrow, flat-out brilliant) summoned him to baby-sit her psychotic sons while she goes off to work at BlueNexion as her husband (Salman’s brother) fights in Iraq, is what “Kabluey” is all about.
It’s a sweet, ingenious, twisted and surreal comedy, kind of Samuel Beckett by way of Adam Sandler, with Prendergast as a hopeless ninny of a nanny trying to heal a broken family, an endangered marriage and an incompetent, corrupt company that cost a lot of people (Teri Garr included) their life savings.
A one-word title is worth a one-word endorsement: unique.
